This is the Inception AU I didn’t know I wanted. Arthur’s a grad student working on his dissertation! Saito’s enrolled at UC Berkeley! Eames collects action figures and watches BSG!
(And Fischer gets them all to team up to extract from Cobb, except –whoops! — turns out he was lying about the whole thing and there are guns and chases and for some reason everyone has a robotic vacuum cleaner!)
In short: I loved it!

Absolutely hilarious small plot point: Fischer accidentally incepted himself during the whole twisty dream extraction.
Fischer blurted, “I can’t stop thinking about it.”
That sounded ominous. Arthur paused in his typing. “Can’t stop thinking about what?”
Fischer sighed. Arthur glanced down at his phone to see Fischer looking weary. “Breaking up my father’s empire.”
“Your father’s a teacher,” he said.
“Don’t you think I know that?” Fischer snapped.
