what’s this? a tv show I want to watch?

Tuesday, April 30th, 2013

Since my mind is on viewing this week, I thought I’d put up a reminder that yes, Whose Line Is It Anyway is apparently returning. Tuesday, July 16th is the day, according to the all-powerful google. Wayne Brady, Ryan Stiles, and Colin Mochrie will all be returning. (Woohoo!)

At my workplace today, we compared the benefits of toy Iron Man repulsors (they light up!) versus toy rings (lighting up *would* be a crucial element, we agreed). It’s possible I will be completely useless for anything except discussing Marvel movies by the time Thursday comes. But today — OTTERDAY!

must be Thursday

Then Comes a Mist and a Weeping Rain, by Faith Wood (faithwood) It always rains for Draco Malfoy. Metaphorically. And literally. Ever since he had accidentally Conjured a cloud. A cloud that’s ever so cross. […]

You know when you make an appointment, and it’s way out in the future, and you are absolutely, 100% certain that you know the date and time of said appointment? And yet somehow, as the date inches ever closer, somehow it becomes fuzzy, and murky, and basically what I’m saying is that I’m MOSTLY sure […]

movie review: The Hobbit (part one of too many)

Saturday, April 20th, 2013

Overall thoughts: Two hours and fifty minutes is a *lot* longer than my attention span. I did not watch this movie. My dad did, though. He said it was long. And bloody. (And apparently he could not tell the dwarves apart, but didn’t mind because he doesn’t watch for the characters. I’m not sure what […]

April book report

Saturday, April 20th, 2013

For April’s book o’ the month, I read ‘Must Have Been Something I Ate,” by Peggy Kotsopoulos. On a purely tactile level, I liked this one! The pages are all glossy and thick — very enjoyable to read. Other than that, I had some trouble getting into it, so I actually started from the back […]
